Services | Denver Somatic Relationship Therapist2019-11-11T01:03:33+00:00

I provide individual and family therapy, with children and adults,  utilizing traditional and holistic methods of psychotherapy. As a body-centered (somatic) therapist, I will help you develop a deeper understanding of the connection with your body, mind, and spirit. Our work together may vary depending on the challenges you are facing and the goals you would like to achieve.  I am here to support you in a safe, non-judgmental environment. Together, we will utilize tools such as EMDR, breathing techniques, grounding, mindfulness, sensory awareness, tracking, creative visualization, movement, sound, and /or expressive arts to help you along your journey.

Why somatic therapy? Our emotions and feelings are connected to our body. Memories are connected to our body. Our spirit is connected to our body. When we experience trauma, we often struggle to heal the effects on our bodies. We are left with lingering pain, insomnia, anxiety, gut issues, heart issues, etc. Sometimes we are left feeling empty, numb, or dissociated. If we don’t tend to our bodies through our suffering, dis-ease is created. Dis-ease can take over our day-to-day living, creating a cycle of discomfort. Often these areas of discomfort are giving us messages that something needs to shift and change.

Somatic psychology has been proven to reduce stress and anxiety. Gaining better awareness of our whole self can help us make choices that suit our life path better.
